Mariposa and Madera Counties - Home to Yosemite Valley

Yosemite Area Audubon

Serving the communities of Mariposa and eastern Madera Counties

(also known as Mariposa Audubon)

Yosemite - Mariposa County Audubon monthly meetings are held the second Thursday of each month October through May at 7 p.m. at the Mariposa Methodist Church parish hall on 6th St. between Hwy. 140 and Bullion St. Mariposa.

Our meetings for November and April will be in Oakhurst at the Senior Center, turn onto Road 425B from Road 426, drive about a half mile and turn right on Cinder Lane. Immediately after turning, take the left fork and follow the signs to the Senior Center (past the Oakhurst Community Center) to the end of Cinder Lane. See our activities page for this month's meeting topic.

See our bi-monthly newsletter the Foothill Quail. The April issue is available here as a PDF.

Our newsletter will be available online in PDF format only. The PDF files provide higher quality printing and viewing than html files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read the PDF files. If you do not have Acrobat Reader you can download it for free HERE.

Notices for meetings and field trips are published in the Sierra Star and the Mariposa Gazette. The public are invited to these free programs.

Field Trips and an annual Christmas Bird Count are just some of our activities. The 44th Annual Yosemite Christmas Bird Count was held on December 14th. See the article about the 2008 Yosemite Valley CBC in the SF Chronicle:
